Gas Appliance Repair in the GTA & Surrounding Areas

A burner that clicks but never lights. An oven that will not hold heat. A gas dryer that tumbles but stays cold. Gas appliances are not something to guess at — and you should not have to wait a week for a technician either.

AS Appliance Repair services gas ranges, ovens, cooktops and dryers across Toronto and the surrounding GTA, usually the same or next day, with a written warranty on parts and labour.

What we repair

Gas Appliances We Service

If it runs on natural gas or propane and lives in your kitchen or laundry room, we work on it — residential and commercial.

Gas Stoves & Ranges

Burners that will not light, clicking igniters that never stop, weak or uneven flames, faulty valves, and knobs or safety switches that have given out.

Gas Ovens

No heat at all, temperatures that drift well off the setting, a bake burner that lights then dies, failed igniters, thermostats and gas safety valves.

Gas Cooktops

Yellow or lazy flames, blocked burner ports, cracked igniters, continuous sparking, and sealed-burner cooktops that will not simmer properly.

Gas Dryers

A drum that turns but never heats, loads taking two or three cycles to dry, burnt-out igniter coils, thermal fuses, flame sensors and gas valve solenoids.

Outdoor & BBQ Gas Appliances

Built-in grills, side burners and outdoor kitchen units that will not ignite, lose pressure, or cannot hold a steady cooking temperature.

Commercial Gas Equipment

Restaurant ranges, ovens, griddles and fryers — diagnosed and repaired with the shortest downtime we can manage, including after-hours calls.

Warning signs

When a Gas Appliance Needs a Technician

Gas appliances rarely fail without warning. Any one of these is worth a service call rather than a workaround:

  • A burner clicks but never lights
  • The flame lights, then goes out
  • Flames burning yellow or orange instead of steady blue
  • An oven that never reaches its set temperature
  • A gas dryer that tumbles but does not dry
  • Soot marks around burners or on your cookware
  • A pilot light that keeps going out
  • Knobs, valves or igniters that feel loose or dead
Safety first

We Do Not Improvise on Gas

Gas work is regulated in Ontario for good reason. Every gas call we take is assigned to a technician qualified to work on gas-fired appliances, we fit manufacturer-matched parts, and we test connections before we leave.

If an appliance is not safe to keep using, we will tell you plainly rather than patch it — and if a fault sits outside what an appliance technician can legally touch, we will say so and point you to the right trade.

If you can smell gas right now, stop reading and act. Do not use light switches, appliances or your phone indoors. Get everyone outside, then call your gas utility's emergency line or 911 from outside the building. A repair booking comes after the leak has been dealt with.

How it works

Three Steps, No Guesswork

Tell us what it is doing

Call or book online and describe the symptom — the burner, the smell, the noise, the error code. We book a slot that suits you, including same-day where we have coverage.

We diagnose on site

A gas-qualified technician arrives with common parts on the van, finds the actual fault, and quotes the repair up front. The service call fee is waived when you approve the work.

Repaired, tested, warrantied

We fit the part, run the appliance, check the flame and connections, and leave you with a written warranty on parts and labour.

FAQ

Gas Appliance Repair Questions

Are your technicians qualified to work on gas appliances?
Yes. Gas appliance calls are only assigned to technicians qualified to work on gas-fired appliances, and every visit is insured. If a fault turns out to sit outside what an appliance technician can legally work on — a gas line or meter issue, for example — we will tell you and point you to the right trade rather than take it on.
Can you repair my gas stove the same day?
Often, yes. We hold same-day and next-day capacity across the GTA and carry the parts that fail most frequently on the van. Call early in the day for the best chance of a same-day slot, and mention if the appliance is your only means of cooking.
How much does gas appliance repair cost?
It depends on the part that failed, so we quote on site once the technician has diagnosed the fault — before any work starts. The service call fee is waived when you approve the repair, and there are no extra charges for urgency or hidden line items at the end.
What should I do if I can smell gas?
Treat it as an emergency, not a repair job. Do not use light switches, appliances or your phone indoors, get everyone out of the building, and call your gas utility's emergency line or 911 from outside. Once the leak has been dealt with, we can look at the appliance itself.
Do you repair gas dryers as well as cooking appliances?
Yes. Gas dryers are one of our most common gas calls — usually an igniter coil, thermal fuse, flame sensor or gas valve solenoid when the drum turns but the load stays damp.
Is the repair covered by a warranty?
Every repair comes with a written warranty on parts and labour. You will have the terms in hand before the technician leaves, so there is nothing to take on trust.
Do you work on propane appliances too, or only natural gas?
Both. Natural gas and propane appliances are serviced, including conversions that were done incorrectly — a common cause of yellow flames and sooting.
